Mode

Exponential distribution mode.

The mode for an exponential random variable with rate parameter λ is

m o d e left-parenthesis upper X right-parenthesis equals 0

Usage

var mode = require( '@stdlib/math/base/dists/exponential/mode' );

mode( lambda )

Returns the mode of an exponential distribution with rate parameter lambda.

var v = mode( 9.0 );
// returns 0.0

v = mode( 0.5 );
// returns 0.0

If provided lambda < 0, the function returns NaN.

var v = mode( -1.0 );
// returns NaN
